Ready to Inspire
Hi, I’m Dr Nuur — a lecturer & a researcher focusing on the intersection of steganography, human-centric security, and user experience.
I am a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), with 1.5 years of postdoctoral research experience at University College London (UCL).

About Me
Hello and welcome. I am Dr. Nuur Alifah Roslan (Alifah), a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Postdoctoral Researcher at University College London.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, followed by a Master’s degree in Security in Computing and a PhD in Computer Security from UPM, specializing in Steganography, Information Hiding, and Multimedia Security.
With experience spanning academia, industry, and research—including roles in digital marketing and research & development. I am passionate about bridging technological innovation with real-world impact through research collaborations and industry engagement.
From 2024 to 2026, I embarked on a postdoctoral research journey at UCL, expanding my expertise into Human-Centric Security. My research explores online harassment reporting mechanisms, digital safety, usability, and the human experience of security technologies, with the goal of creating safer, more inclusive, and trustworthy digital environments.

Research Interest
01
Steganography
Focuses on next-generation information hiding techniques in adversarial digital environments, leveraging artificial intelligence to enable adaptive and intelligent embedding strategies, alongside blockchain-based mechanisms to strengthen content integrity, provenance, and tamper-evident communication across multimedia systems.
02
Human-Centric Security
Centres on privacy and trust in social media ecosystems, investigating how users engage with security and privacy mechanisms in socially driven digital platforms. The focus is on understanding behavioural and design factors that influence trust formation, privacy risks, and user decision-making in online interactions.
03
Multimedia Security
Focusing on the development of advanced protection mechanisms for digital image, audio, and video content, this research area addresses authentication, copyright protection, and resilient watermarking techniques against tampering and unauthorised redistribution. Integrating AI and blockchain to enhance security, integrity, and traceability.

Agak clishe~ tapi begitulah kaedahnya.
